Project Manager

 

Responsibilities:

  • Management of assigned projects from conception to completion while adhering to all applicable codes and client specifications
  • Assist in developing and clarifying the project scope with the end user
  • Provide overall technical & commercial leadership to all phases of the project
  • Ensure the safe, reliable and effective project performance that will contribute to total client satisfaction
  • Maintains and controls distribution of all project documents and records
  • Works with client representatives on engineering, design, drafting, construction and contract issues
  • Coordinates team meetings for job kick-offs, bid reviews, progress meetings and other similar client initiated or internal meetings
  • Prepares regular progress reports for both internal and client reporting purposes
  • Ensures projects progress as per outlined schedule
  • Generates invoices and change orders on a timely basis and analyzes each project at month-end to determine the value of work in progress

Requirements:

  • Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry and the equipment used in it
  • Possess excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in reading and understanding P&ID’s, piping plans, elevations, and piping isometrics
  • Possess thorough understanding and ability to develop and complete cost estimates based on engineering documentation, specifications and drawings as well as construction, risk evaluation and material take-off techniques
  • Must be highly self-motivated
  • Solid management & leadership skills, able to work effectively with team members
  • Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Fluency in English

Assets:

  • A thorough understanding of fabrication projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience and training in some (or all) of the fields you will be working in, including mechanical design technology, instrumentation, welding, ASME code, quality control, and package completion
  • Engineering degree (P. Eng) or technical school diploma (CET) in a related field or equivalent project management experience
  • PMP designation

Engineering Designer / Drafter

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and development of CAD project drawings
  • Ensures compliance with applicable codes and client specifications
  • Communicates and coordinates with other team members
  • Assist other team members with project estimating and management

Requirements:

  • Must have a recognized technical diploma or degree
  • Must have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs and CAD programs
  • Experience with ASME codes
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage several tasks and is highly organized
  • Desire to constantly learn and develop
  • Enjoys working in a team orientated environment

Assets:

  • Experience with pressure vessels and process piping
  • Experience with Instrumentation
  • Accreditation with a technical or engineering association
  • Solidworks or other 3D design software experience
  • Other technical experience to add to our team

Mechanical Engineering Technologist

 

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in the full rage of the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication
  • A Technical diploma from a recognized educational institution
  • An understanding of process control as applied to process equipment in the oil and gas sector including control of pressure equipment both electrically and pneumatically
  • A recognized technical diploma or degree
  • The ability to read, understand and produce CAD drawings
